I love simple stamping, but I also love to make stamped images a little different by adding a twist. Todays card has such a twist with a hand drawn shape helping to accentuate the beautiful stamped image.
This card uses ONE stamp and just black ink . We bring in the colour pop with just the cardstock making it great for new stampers. Our hand drawn circle element adds a extra touch making this different from other cards using the same stamp.
I love how the Magenta madness really does stand loud and prod on this card it goes beautifully with the black ink.
So simple to recreate and I have a full step by step video tutorial for you to follow to make it even easier.

Do you ever look at your beautiful collection of stamps and think ... have I used that one more than once ? I really do not like buying stamps and only using them once ...I want value for money so I am making a determined effort to share sets again and again.
This card was created using the Perpetual birthday card stamp. It was one I loved on sight then found I only used once .... so I pulled it out today and practised some simple stamping. I really was struggling to create that day ... it was a NON mojo day, so I used a simple tip which always helps me when I am in a stamping funk. I call it just grab three .... you simply grab three colours, any, and quickly without thinking ... even if you think they wont match it doesn't matter, just grab three.
I used Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo. And I picked these simply as they were already amongst the pile on my desk. The easiest way to stamp is to just grab three colours and without thinking just stamp. After I create the front, this is when I decided on the card background layer. I chose Gorgeous Grape to help those colours jump. I had glitter enamel dots on my desk too so added some to each flower for dimension and a little sparkle.

So if your struggling with your mojo or just don't know what colours to choose...Just grab three and get stamping.
This week I had a batch of cards I needed to send out to my team who are totally awesome. So I designed this pretty card using the Amazing you Sale-A-bration free stamp set. I adore this set and have used it lots.
I wanted a fresh bright colour and a colour I haven't used much is Tempting Turquoise. Such a beautiful shade of blue. I love how Stampin' Up! products match so I can be confident my projects look great without too much thinking.
I didn't however have a ribbon in the same shade, so I made my own. There are a lot of ladies showing how the Stampin' Blends colour ribbon just now but I used my Many marvellous markers. We have a wider colour range in these and they colour ribbon just perfect. The only difference being it takes longer to dry and can print on your hands but whats inky fingers ? except a sign of a happy crafter, the colour doesn't spread onto the card once dry.
So I was able to take the silver metal edge ribbon and make bows in the exact same shade as my card and my ink ... gotta love the many marvellous markers they are worth three weight in gold.

Ok so I am officially so OVER winter. According to my friend Heidi it was groundhog day yesterday and we have six more weeks of winter..... yuck. As I live on the peak of the Yorkshire pennines we can likely times those weeks by two. Well Im not waiting (having a small paddy here) I'm having summer right now !! I saw the Inspire.Create.Challenge for this week and the colours are so bright and cheerful I just had to take part and bring a ray of sunshine to the dreary season...can you tell I don't like winter?

The colours work awesome together and I used my SeasonalLayers framelits and the Sunshine and rainbows stamp set to create my card. I used vellum to make realistic looking clouds which I think are super cute.

Sometimes we just have to get messy, inky fingers are a sure sign of a great creative day. I have been
playing with what I call the " inky block technique" No idea of the actual term for it...this is my version and I love it. It gives a great multi tonal almost the dye effect to your stamped images.
So I basically used acrylic block E and added Melon mambo and Bermuda bay direct to the block, ensuring the colours overlap. then simply use this as your ink pad. Simple
I used the beautiful peacock stamp which is a 2018 Sale-A-Bration free set. And wow what a stunning stamp, the possible;cities are endless with this set.
I couldn't resist adding a little sparkle to my peacock by adding lots of rhinestones to catch the light and reflect back the stunning colours.

I can hear my mothers words when I was younger "Amanda Jayne use things for their proper purpose" Have to say I love NOT using things for their direct intended use especially my Stampin' Up! dies. I love to find new ways to use what I buy and hopefully inspire others who purchase them too.
So here I have a slightly different interpretation for the beautiful Bouquet and Sweet and Sassy framelits... combining them to create a bouquet of hearts. Oh dear another valentines card... I can't seem to resist! I created this beautiful bouquet using the 6 x 6 glimmer card which co-ordinates with the Myths and magic DSP in the 2018 Spring /Summer catalogue, and wow the glimmer card cuts like a dream. With a crisp white back ground and a simple black sentiment the real red hearts just pop... I adore how this card turned out. I do have a step by step tutorial for you to follow along to re create this card yourself.

I love Lavender, I have it growing in my garden and love the sweet smell when you waft past ...mine smells all year round but in the Summer when the pretty purple haze spreads in my garden its just beautiful. This stamp set caught me eye as soon as I saw it in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and I selected it as one of my first choices.
An unassuming yet stunning stamp set with a two stage element, where by you stamp the outline then overlay with a second stamp which gives a watercolour wash effect. A very soft and pretty stamp set and a must as you collect your free Sale-A-Bration stamps. One free with every £45 spend.
I used the stunning Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plumb card and layered with Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. A paper doily layered so it softly peeks out from behind adds to the shabby country garden feel. I love it ....
My sentiment was borrowed form the Petal Pallet stamp set, but you really can utilise any you may have in your collection.
