Floating window card made easy.

I might sound like a stuck record but I don't do complicated card making. I like projects to look awesome but I aint got the time … or attention span … to take hours over them. Todays project is awesome and made in next to no time . Perfect !!

I find adding other mediums to card making both fun and challenging. Sometimes I want a change from plain card and stamping. Window cards are such fun and so easy to make they are a refreshing change from good old card stock.

So the basic concept is you trim away some card stock and replace it with a window sheet. On this card I did just that and then fussy cut two of the stunning birds from the Mosaic mood paper. I'm no Bill Oddy ( well know UK bird watching geeky type) but I reckon these are Humming birds ? I may be wrong but that's what i'm going for.

All you do is add small dots of glue and stick them right onto the window sheet. Just be mindful not to have too much movement and daub glue all over your lovely window.

I do have a step by step YouTube tutorial to share with you how to make this card so you can give it a go. So why not grab a fresh cuppa, get comfy and enjoy the video.

Peep hole card made easy.

Who doesn't love peep hole cards they are so much fun ! Today I will share with you one way to make the easiest of peep hole cards using the Twinkle Twinkle bundle from Stampin' Up!

Just how much fun is this card ? and with a simple sentiment this card can be for any occasion you like. I find its great to have a small pile of cards with simple sentiments sat ready so anytime I need to send a quick card I have them to hand. And this could be anything from a baby card to a thank you card.

I'm a frugal scrimpy crafter so I used the stunning foil stickers from the clearance rack here. I love how the accent of foil looks against the simple paper layer. And the sticker sentiment makes my card even quicker to make. Layering with a circle frame sticker and copper foil cut using the starburst punch just gives that flash of luxury to this simple card. I added dimension with a 2 1/4" punched circle and popped it up on dimensionals. Hey presto a cool peep hole card in no time at all.

I do have a fun and fast YouTube tutorial on this card where I share other samples I made using the Twinkle Twinkle bundle. So grab a fresh cuppa, get comfy and enjoy the video.

Keep calm and wag on ... happy tails.

I am a very dedicated doggy mum to two fur monsters ..I mean angels ! Our Shih tzu pair are brothers Benji and Chip they bring me a lot of joy. So obviously the second I saw the Happy tails set from Stampin' Up! I let out a little squeel !

This set is such fun and great for those doggie lover cards, birthday's, anniversaries or just to say hello. Indeed to send a card on behalf of your four legged family member to another.

What fun this set is with all the tiny details such as the little bones and dog house. I fussy cut these easily and the Dog image is punched easily with the co-ordinating punch.

With great sentiments to boot this set is a true winner.....

And speaking of WINNERS ...don't forget to comment on today's post to be in with a chance to win a freebie during my March Madness blog candy gift away.

Bokeh dots meets dragonfly Dreams

I recently had one of my down line and good friend Victoria round for a craft session. Fact is we got very little done. It was hot and sunny and we sat in the garden putting the world to rights and during our four hour session this card is all we managed to complete. It is a mash up of ideas from the two of us and I do love how it turned out ... although not sure it looks like four hours worth ha ha ha.

Bokeh dots fell into my shopping basket on my last spree,  a fab set with two small background stamps in. Desperate to use it I quickly stamped away but was initially disappointed with the results. After consulting a team forum I was told to not go direct to the ink pad with this stamp. Rather, it is better to use a brayer or sponge daubers. At the first attempt of this I got great results.

Keeping the colours simple we have Whisper white, Coastal cabana and basic black. The card base was also embossed with layered leaves textured embossing folder which looks amazing close up. A simple two layer dragonfly makes the card special, this was cut fro Dragonfly Dreams thinlits.

I hope you enjoy this project and will give it a try. All products are listed below and are clickable links to my shop where you can buy at your leisure.

I do have a Youtube tutorial sharing how to get the best results from the Bokeh dots stamp you will find it on yesterdays blog post by CLICKING HERE

Picture perfect simple thank you cards ...

Who doesn't like a ray of colour to wish away the Winter. I certainly do, and these cards just make me smile. So bold and colourful and cheerful. Most importantly super easy.

I designed this card specifically to be made in bulk and quickly... these are my thank you cards for all who shopped with me in February. I hope they bring a smile to my customers faces when they open these bright cheery cards.

Using the Picture perfect party DSP has to be the easiest way to create cards. The stunning 6x6 DSP pack has 48 sheets at a fantastic price point, making these cards budget friendly too. Again I am using up my 2016-18 in colour card stock here for the card bases. The sentiment is non fuss and while bold enough to stand out... does not detract form the DSP. A fantastic combination.

A very easy card to re create with minimal supplies and tools. A4 card is simply cut in half then each piece folded in half for the base. The DSP panels are then cut 1/8th of an inch smaller . The sentiment is stamped and cut by hand with the lemon lime twist used to mount the sentiment, again trimmed by had. Super easy and a great way to make a batch of cards in no time.

I hope you will give this card a try. All items used are listed below and if you wish to purchase or browse simply click the photos.

New Mixed medallion card kit ...FREE Sale-A-bration item

Sale-A-Bration 2018 has some amazing free products on offer and the Mixed Medallions card kit is a brilliant choice. The kit is a level one product meaning you can claim it FREE with a £45 purchase.

I have several of these as I thought they would be great to have to hand when I just need some fast cards, maybe when I'm pushed for time or a birthday I forgot or need a fast thank you. Cards are the new email and its becoming on trend in an ever increasing age of just sending a message to go back to making cards.

I decided to have an in-depth look at one of my kits and opened it and created on on film for you to see just how easy and quick it is to create these cards. The kit makes eight cards complete with envelopes and comes in stunning Stampin' Up! colours. The kit colours are Sahara Sand, Berry Burst, Calypso coral and Whisper white. This makes it easy if you want to " step up" the cards with other Stampin' Up! products.

In my video I used ONLY the kit and a stamp set from my collection but nothing else. Once off camera I did add some self adhesive gems, rhinestones and pearls just to make some of the cards a tad more fancy. But even without these the card look great.

So here is my video showing the fab kit, so grab a brew, get comfy and enjoy the video ...
