Peacock Plumes Diamond fold tips and tricks tutorial

Happy Sunday everyone hope you are able to find some time to create today as it is good for the soul.

Yesterday I shared this simple Diamond fold card on my YouTube and did promise to share the measurements.

Measurements

cut A4 card to 5 x 10" ( I explain on the video how to up the size if required )

on long side score at 2 1/2 and 5 "

Diamond pieces. 2 x card cut to 3 1/4 x 3 1/4", paper layer 3 x 3"

Middle inside card layer 4 3/4 x 2 1/4" paper layer 4 1/2 x 2"

little triangles on base cut ONE square if card to 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 " cut in half to make two triangles

paper layer cut ONE square 2 x 2" cust in half to create two triangles.

One for the boys ...Happy Birthday brother

A different kind of card today ..male theme. Quite different for me as I live in a predominantly female family. My husband and I have five girls between us ...no boys. As such I rarely have the need for a male theme card. I thought I had better get a wiggle on and share some inspiration for your sons, brothers, husbands or partners as I am quite sure they wouldn't appreciate my predominantly girly style cards.

I created a simple card using a statement HAPPY BIRTHDAY stamp from the one for all set. I created a two tone effect by using two inks and sponge daubers, you could also use Stampin' write markers.

To make the words stand out more I carefully drew around the words with a Pacific Point Stampin' write marker.I then carefully fussy cut the sentiment splitting it into two separate words as it stamps out as one. After layering my card and twinkle twinkle DSP I added the two words on dimensionals to make them stand proud from the card base. I had a few wooden stars hanging around on my desk from the festive farm house elements and so using my Pick up tool on the " gummy " end I carefully dabbed these in glue and added to the card.

I am thrilled how this turned out and doesn't the star filled sky DSP just look fantastic. I think I cracked my male theme personal challenge today. Cut card base to 10 x 5" sore at 5" fold to form base.

Cut coloured card layer to 4 3/4" x 4 3/4".

DSP layer 4 1/4 x 4 1/4"

DSP contrasting strip 4 1/4 x 3/4"
