Monochrome card for the dad's Inspire.Create.Challenge #040

I think I am on a roll this last week or so with ideas for Male theme cards. Today's has been created to join in with this months Inspire.Create.Challenge #040,  a colour challenge using just black and white.

I love monochrome cards, the less choice of colours the easier I find to create. And I LOVE black and white so I couldn't not join in.

I used Timeless textures and and the labeller Alphabet stamp sets, both from Stampin' Up!. The classic cars were fussy cut from Stampin' Up! Classic Garage DSP. I have limited male themed supplies so had to look hard in my hoard / collection to see what I could use.

I think the combination of stamps looks cool and love how I created a number plate  #DAD1 to fit in with my car theme. One extra touch here is I added glossy accents to each of the card windows, adding shine and dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this card and will give it a try for yourself. Do go on over via the link below and check out all the other awesome creations on this months Inspire.Create.Challenge blog.

I will list products used below.

One for the boys ...Happy Birthday brother

A different kind of card today ..male theme. Quite different for me as I live in a predominantly female family. My husband and I have five girls between us ...no boys. As such I rarely have the need for a male theme card. I thought I had better get a wiggle on and share some inspiration for your sons, brothers, husbands or partners as I am quite sure they wouldn't appreciate my predominantly girly style cards.

I created a simple card using a statement HAPPY BIRTHDAY stamp from the one for all set. I created a two tone effect by using two inks and sponge daubers, you could also use Stampin' write markers.

To make the words stand out more I carefully drew around the words with a Pacific Point Stampin' write marker.I then carefully fussy cut the sentiment splitting it into two separate words as it stamps out as one. After layering my card and twinkle twinkle DSP I added the two words on dimensionals to make them stand proud from the card base. I had a few wooden stars hanging around on my desk from the festive farm house elements and so using my Pick up tool on the " gummy " end I carefully dabbed these in glue and added to the card.

I am thrilled how this turned out and doesn't the star filled sky DSP just look fantastic. I think I cracked my male theme personal challenge today. I do hope you will give this card a try, super easy. I will leave measurements below and a list of products used you can click this link to visit my online shop scrimpingmommy.stampinup.net or click any of the photos below.

Travel theme cards with Best Route... no3 of #100things

I have created heaps with the Best Route suite this past week today we have a total of five travel theme cards for you to try. Number 3 in my #100things series these cards are awesome for a travel theme, great for if your needing a male card or perhaps for a student or avid traveler.

Using the Best route DSP along with the memories and more card pack makes for quick easy and co-ordinated cards. With a stunning fun stamp set to match too you can create these cards super quick.

I grabbed inspiration from the Annual catalogue and changed up a few areas... creating a fish off the cuff for my youtube viewers. I will leave a link below to my fun tutorial which shows just how easy this suite makes card making.

So grab a brew, get comfy and enjoy the video.
