Peacock Plumes Diamond fold tips and tricks tutorial

Happy Sunday everyone hope you are able to find some time to create today as it is good for the soul.

Yesterday I shared this simple Diamond fold card on my YouTube and did promise to share the measurements.

Measurements

cut A4 card to 5 x 10" ( I explain on the video how to up the size if required )

on long side score at 2 1/2 and 5 "

Diamond pieces. 2 x card cut to 3 1/4 x 3 1/4", paper layer 3 x 3"

Middle inside card layer 4 3/4 x 2 1/4" paper layer 4 1/2 x 2"

little triangles on base cut ONE square if card to 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 " cut in half to make two triangles

paper layer cut ONE square 2 x 2" cust in half to create two triangles.

Freezin' Fun card with Stampin' Up!

As summer heats up today I am sharing a cool card using Freezin' Fun by Stampin' Up!. A fun winter theme card you can use in preparation for the you know what season ... whispers ..Christmas.. without using santas and reindeer in August.

A fun and easy card to make. The snowy background is simple ink blending over a hand cut wavy stencil just cut from scrap card. The cute characters are coloured with Stampin' Blends to make those colours pop. The Blends really are vibrant and smooth to use.

Heat embossing tips with Good Morning Magnolia.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today I am re using a firm favourite Good Morning Magnolia. Whilst making this card I have filmed a tutorial giving hints and tips along the way for successful heat embossing. You can achieve many many looks with heat embossing. My favourite is simple white on coloured card.

The white embossing on Kraft or crumb cake is my all time favourite. We have also heat embossed here on vellum which takes embossing beautifully.

For a pop of colour we have a small magnolia bud stamped on white card and coloured with Rococo Rose light and dark Stampin Blends. I also show you how to colour this on the video tutorial below.

Facebook live Delicate Doily simple stamping.

Happy Wednesday everyone todays card is from my facebook live last night. If you missed it , it was quite fun. I nearly knocked the camera off the stand and the lighting failed as one of my bulbs blew...but we got there and Im a firm believer of not waiting untill you have a format perfect ... get into it and perfect as you go. Thats what I tell my team during any team training. Add things to your business a bit at a time but dont wait for a perfect day or a perfect time just do it ! You can see my live here >

I digress, I created a simple card using the Delicate doilies stamp set. It is truly beautiful and I chose some stunning colours which went together really well. We have Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Higland heather. The sentiments in the set are beautiful and meaningful Im so glad I purchased it. The set does come as a bundle with thinlits which are to die for I used them on this card I made a few weeks back

So as you can see two very differebt cards, one simple and one stepped up. This set is super versatile and well worth adding to your collection. Hello Cupcake #simplestamping Sunday.

Happy Sunday everyone ...Sunday means #simplestamping. Today we have a truely sweet and scrumptious card for you using my favourite kind of stamp .. A FREE STAMP. Hello cupcake is a stunning free stamp available during sale-a-bration. It pairs up beautifully with the HOW SWEET IT IS suite in the Spring Summer catalogue. The suite is full of fun bright, pretty colours with lots of candy elements to it. What fun !

The stamp is photopolymer, and hence clear. So lining up the layers of the cup cake is a complete doddle anyone can do it. Add the sprinkled with love sentiment and you could send this card to your sweetheart for valentines. Pick a different sentiment it becomes a birthday card, the possibilities and versatility of the set is endless.

I used snippets of the HOW SWEET IT IS dsp, you dont need a lot with this stunning paper. Its pretty colours and fun patterns are eyecatching and make a statement without being shouty.
