Pop up gift card treat box

 Ok so November for me means we can really start with the Christmas crafting and preparation.

I think handmade will be even more important this year as shopping can be hard work during a pandemic.

Here is one quick and easy idea you can create this year. Not only having fun with supplies but also taking the headache out of Christmas shopping ... gift cards mean they can do their own shopping .. genius !!

Wrap the box simply with a piece of your favourite Christmas paper, I used Heart warming hugs from Stampin' Up!, a small amount of ribbon and a fun stamped sentiment and voila !!

Inside reveals your gift card and a simple wrapped chocolate treat. What a great little gift to make and send.

Best dressed boxed notecards tutorial

Back today with another super easy and fun way to gift the stunning Best dressed 3x3 note cards. A simple flip over pizza style box decorated with the striking Best Dressed designer series paper. The paper does all the work here to make a simple box look like a very special gift.

I love the simplicity of this and have already sent out two sets of these to crafty friends as gifts. Bothe useful AND pretty.. what more could you need.

Boxed journal gift set Stampin' Up! pressed Petals suite.

I love making journals so when I saw Stampin' Up! had a ready made journal for sale I had to have a look. A small sized Journal perfect to fit in your handbag and packed with fantastic pages for writing, loaded with pretty images and inspirational sayings. Perfect for a gift this Christmas or at any time of the year.

To make the journal even better I added some love... some crafty additions and created a custom sized and decorated gift box to place it in.

Everything I used is from the Pressed Petals suite in the 2019-2020 annual catalogue I will leave links below.

I have a full process video to share what I did to create both the box and the journal. Spot the blunder !! There generally is one in my tutorials but I like to keep it real. Crafted projects are made with love not perfection is my philosophy.

How to make a diamond faceted box.

I have waited a while to try this box design thinking it was difficult … WRONG !! This design is so super easy I had to come show you just how easy it is.

Faceted boxes are visually pleasing, they look different and make you look like your super clever. I will show you how to make this we can keep it between us just how easy it is.

Once you master the design all you need do is decorate. This is the best bit for me and I had awesome fun making this box unique with some stamping., I used Beauty abounds and Butterfly gala this time around. I just love butterflies and any excuse to use them and I will.

Video tutorial how to make a diamond faceted box 

Measurements to create diamond faceted giftbox 

Cut card to 7 7/8 x 11"

short side score at 2 1/2, 4 5/8, 7 1/8"

turn 90 degrees so skinny score line is at the top score down to second score line only 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2 and 10"

turn card all way round so bottom is now at the top score to the 1st score line 1/4 , 2 3/4, 5 1/4, 7 3/4 and 10 1/4"

Then score middle section in diagonals from score line to score line to create triangles see youtube video for clarity.

Elegant Petal parade pen box.

Im in shabby chic heaven when it comes to Petal Promenade DSP .... its so beautiful I really didn't want to cut it up. Wanting to create something simple ... I don't do complicated !...... yet beautiful this paper was a must. Every sheet is a beautiful as the last its just pure divine.

Here we have a long slim box with a fold over lid which I designed specifically to fit two standard size pens. They don't have to be expensive just pretty and placed in this box you will have the perfect gift.

A quadruple layer bow was created and tied off by hand, wrapping this around the box ensures it doesn't pop open. A simple sentiment says it all. Adorning the box with pink faceted gems just completes this pretty project.

Fold flat gift box with a pop of colour

Here we have a super beautiful AND useful box. Finished dimensions are 3x6x2"a great gift box size. The way this is constructed is not a new idea, indeed I was directly inspired by my latest box of MAC makeup which came is a similar box, just bigger.

So I reduced the sizing and came up with this one and you can make two of the main body from a 12 x 12 sheet. I do love the fold flat box design as you can ..well ... fold them flat. Great to make in bulk ahead of time and store until needed.

I just adore black and white. But I love it even more with a tiny pop of colour. Here I used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst to just give the black colour a bit of a wow. And an extra wow is the stunning stamp and sentiment  taken from the petal pallet set from Stampin' Up! A stunning box yet so simple ANYONE can create it.
