Sometimes we need to send a card everyone dreads ... a sympathy card. But when we do we just want it to be really special, to show the recipient just how much we care and are thinking of them whatever the reason may be. I came up with this colourful yet still respectful design and I would hope if I ever need to send it , it might just bring a hint of a smile. Obviously we can totally change the purpose of the card by adding a different sentiment, happy birthday, thank you, best wishes ... we can after all make our cards fit whatever we need. A good set to have in your collection is the Well said with over 50 sentiments you will have one for every ccasion.
I used the Painted seasons stamp set. A fantastic set and a Sale-A-bration freebie until the end of march or indeed ...while stocks last as these freebies have been flying out of the warehouses. I created a subtle back ground using the large flower stamp in Smokey Slate and stamping randomly. Then a separate flower was stamped onto some white card using mango melody ink. I added more tone and depth by adding shading with watercolour pencils and a blender pen. I just makes the colour more vibrant.
The sentiment is heat embossed and the shape created with the classic label punch. For a full run through I do have a YouTube tutorial for you to craft along to. So why not grab a fresh cuppa and come sit down for a while and watch the tutorial.
I have listed the products I used below for ease of reference. I hope you will give this card a try.
Happy stamping xxx Amanda
