Ribbon spool gift holder..

Happy Monday everyone and what a horrid wet day here in Yorkshire. Apologies in advance for my dark looking photo there simply is no light today ...time to invest in a light tent I think.
So todays project is a special designed holder to gift samples of ribbon. You could send these to a crafty friend or a customer as a sample or as a treat to add to a crafty swap. Or you could send it as a gift everyone loves ribbon, I used to love to tie it in my girls hair when they were small so ribbon is aways useful.

A simple design with spool shaped holders for the ribbon which are easily made using the envelope punch board. A fantastic crafty tool with lots and lots of uses. I used the new powder pink card and shade of Floral DSP , such a pretty delicate and girly colour its hard for me to use other colours just now.

The holder closes with mini magnets which I purchased from Spider magnets on eBay just search disc magnets.

There is a full step by step tutorial on my Youtube channel for you to follow to re create this project. Measurements and supply lists are below. So sit comfy grab a brew and watch the tutorial , I do hope you will try this project out ..... Happy stamping xxxx Amanda

  1. Hi Amanda, just watched this on FB thought I'd have a little wonder over here too. I think this is lovely, but I could only give it to special people, cos I would want to keep the lace & or ribbon 🎀 Haha but it is lovely & I love the colour, sometimes, I think, it's what colours you use, that keep people's interest xxx

  3. I'm the only one fussing about this, but the panel measurement is wrong on the 3-1/4 x 2. It's too big. I checked my scoring 10x too. There's only 1-1/2" at the end after the 9-1/2" score line since we're working with an 11 x 3-1/2 piece of card stock, so my math is right. Help?

    1. no honey I'm used UK A4 size so its larger than 11 inch I'm assuming your in the USA so our A4 measure 29.7 cm long ... hope this clears it up for you ... my measurements are correct to UK A4 which I did say in my video and showed the measurement on the score board if you look carefully as I was aware it may vary for US measurements xx Amanda
