Fun Animal outings envelope card

Just how much fun is this card ? An envelope pull tab birthday card... want to see how its made ?

I'm not good at naming my cards hence the long winded title. But I think I hit the nail on the head here pairing up the fab and FREEEEE Painted season DSP (now available on its own with a purchase of £45.00 or over) with the Animal Outing stamp set. These are a match made in heaven.

As you can see here the card is single faced and slots beautifully into this decorated open ended envelope. Created on the envelope punch board, I often wonder where I would be without this amazing tool.

So I stamped all the animals in the set, coloured and fussy cut them, a task well worth doing I may add. The sentiment on the front is from the same set and backed on the new sale a bration co-ordination punch called Story label punch which is ONLY available through march 2019.

The card inside is created simply with card, dsp and more card, the sentiment here comes from a great set called One For All. Adding a little faux stitching and a frog on a branch ... yes a frog on a branch .... just finished it nicely. Adding the tab at the top using the circle tab punch, urges the recipient to " pull" out the contents.

I really had fun creating this card. it is a "blog exclusive" so no YouTube video, who wants to see me fussy cut and colour a kangaroo ? ... but I think the pictures give you plenty of inspiration.

envelope ...cut dsp to 8 1/4 x 8 1/4' using envelope punch board place at 3 3/8" mark punch and score follow score lines punch and score all four sides to make envelope.

Unicorn paper bows ... with hair !

Ok so personally ..I would rather be a mermaid but unicorns are totally on trend right now. So after seeing fabric unicorn bows on Pinterest I had an " I can totally make that " moment and so whipped out my envelope punch board and got started. It took a few attempts but finally I came up with these. I even found a way to add a silky mane to the bows ... not seen anyone do that yet ... yippee these are so cute !

So I made basic stacked bows using the EVP board but on the top layer I hand drew unicorn type eyes.. ok I am no great artist but it really doesn't matter it will still look cute just practice on a sheet of scrap paper first . I added a unicorn horn for Gold foil sheet and then set about making the mane.

I remembered being shown that the new Calypso coral Sale-A-Bration ribbon could be "unpicked" to create fringing, so I used this method with a 3" length to make shiny unicorn hair.... how cool.

You can make these in any colour, mix up the colours even they don't have to match... the more colour the better I say... Add these to cards, boxes, paperclips ....anything you like. Change up the sizes to make them bigger or smaller. Whatever you like but just have fun.

Measurements
Bow :- two strips 1" x 5" and one strip 6" x 1"
cut horn 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" high ... mark to the measurements and draw a triangle
ribbon length for hair is approx 3" long
