Colourful seasons congratulations card

Over the last week the trees in my garden have started to blossom. I love trees when the pretty little flowers come out and it very much inspired today's card. It reminds me of the beautiful cherry tree my late mum in law had in her garden and how beautiful it was when it blossomed.

The Colourful Seasons stamp and Seasonal Layers thinlits from Stampin' Up! has the most pretty stamps and co-ordinating thinlits which I used to create this pretty but simple card. I just love the all cherry blossom stamp and the larger ones which are die cut and raised on dimentionals.

My focal point is layered on a strip of burlap ribbon and polka dot tulle, to give a soft yet rustic feel . The backing paper is on from the stunning Floral Romance DSP stack and I have distressed the edges and spayed it lightly with my home made shimmer mist .

A super pretty card I do hope it inspires you to give it a try.

The lost card !!!!....... Flying home from Stampin' Up!

Welcome to the lost card from Atlantis !!! ...this is my nickname for this card. I created this like WEEKS ago. Could I find it ..no.. it disappeared goodness knows where in my office and then suddenly re appeared, from nowhere this morning. 

I'm rather pleased truth be know as this half term holiday is playing havoc with my blogging and filming schedule. I'm also pleased because this set is so pretty I am thrilled to be sharing it with you. Such a pretty light hearted and cute set. it just shouts spring time to me...and I'm sure all us UK folks are ready for some spring freshness after a winter which seems to have dragged on at least fifty years.

Now I am prone to exaggeration  I will admit, but its no exaggeration how cute this set is and how easy it is to create a fantastic card using it. The images are so striking they are great as stand alone ones or as with mine, stick them all on one card...why not !.

I coloured this just a few days after receiving my Stampin' Blends and could not wait to get busy with them. I was thrilled at the results I got using the same colours yet light and dark, and the amazing tones it gave to my work.

I think this would also be a great Easter time set with its pretty Spring theme so lots and lots of possibilities. There are no sentiments with this set so you can pair it with any other stamp set in your collection making the theme of the card fit your needs. Super versatile.
