Watercolour smooshing ATC

I was a crafter long before I joined Stampin' Up! I also ... many years back .. opened a facebook group for Shabby Chic crafters. Over the years we developed into a swap group. One such swap I am hosting this month is a Valentines theme ATC swap.

I decided this was the perfect time to try some messy crafting and watercolour smooshing. I used this technique to develop a multi layer watercolour background using different shades of pink. A great fun and easy technique which gives amazing results. I used the many marvellous markers coloured onto a piece of window sheet...spray with water and smoosh onto your watercolour paper. It really is that simple.

I added stamped and die cut hearts using Heart Happiness and sweet and sassy framelits... I love these dies they are so versatile they have not left my desk in two weeks! I splattered watered down gesso on too just for extra effect ...and mess which is great fun. Finished off with the words " Be Mine" stamped on vellum. The complete ATC was then layered on real red card stock and the finished size is 3 x 4.

I do hope you will give this technique a try, I have a step by step YouTube tutorial for you to follow along to and the products used are listed below. I would love you to follow my blog and my YouTube for regular postings. Also don't forget you can purchase any products I use from my on line store by clicking the product photos or visiting my shop now link to the right of my blog.

So for now grab a brew, get comfy and enjoy the video... happy smooshing xx Amanda
