Scrimpy's card sketch club is born.

photo is a link to the group
Since my Stampin' Up! team began to literally sprout and multiply overnight I wanted to formulate a cunning plan to help with team bonding. I figured siting round a camp fire roasting marshmallows, singing and telling ghost stories wasn't really feasible so I had a brain wave, a weekly card sketch challenge. Now me being me ... rolling my own eyes here...I couldn't leave the idea there could I !! Noooooo I had to go bigger and so Scrimpy's card sketch club was born. This is a Facebook group  run by my whole entire Stampin' Up! team all of them are admin and we have a joint responsibility to run the group. So all we had to do now was get other people to join in ....

So we load a card sketch every Monday for group members to follow,  they then have until the Sunday to post their creations before a new card is loaded the following day. Those who wish can have their work showcased on my blog. So that is my lengthy introduction to the birth of our group and my new Sunday blog spot. I figured what is one more job on top of what I already do.. right? ..in for a penny in for a pound I like to keep busy. So we hope you will swing by every week on a Sunday after your lunch perhaps and procrastinate over washing the dinner pots and brows our card sketches... perhaps come join our group. Below is a display of some of the amazing work our group produced in our first week following the sketch above. Now I have explained everything further posts won't be as long and drawn out ..scouts honour .. so enjoy and come along and follow the blog regularly so you can get some great ideas.. Happy crafting from me, all of Team Scrimpy and the members of our group xxx Amanda

Steph Stoker chose to use the sweet treats suite from Stampin' Up! Her card looks good enough to eat  superb bright colours in this DSP.

Debbie harper created her card with DSP from the Falling in love suite from Stampin' Up! her two layer butterfly sets it off beautifully.

  1. Taking part in the sketch each week is such a good way of challenging yourself, trying different techniques and it's a real mojo booster. This simple sketch was the starting point of so many amazing cards over on your fb group.
