Happy Wednesday crafters ..
Well today did NOT go to plan and I ended up posting my Wednesday Christmas theme tutorial way too late. Todays video gives a tutorial for an origami style folded note holder. Tuck spots are formed during folding which affords space for a small note book or regular size post it notes. I think you will agree the pockets to the side which are utilised to hold mini file folder just makes this project so sweet and great fun .
The photo above shows the inside of the project and the front as its closed up. Such a cute idea and great as a gift or craft fair make.
I used Presents and Pinecone DSP from Stampin' Up! and the colours in there are real red and emerald envy and so I used matching card stock and ink for the file folders and the sentiment. The sentiment comes from flourishing phrases but any could be used. Also this project is great for any occasion not just christmas . Here are the measurements and below is a link to the youtube tutorial and my Stampin' Up! link.... happy crafting x Amanda
Measurements :-
Dsp cut at 9 1/4" x 8 3/4"
Score on the long side at 1"- 4 1/4" - 4 5/8" - and 8"
turn and on the short side score at 2" and 8"
for the file cards cut two pieces of card stock :-
8 3/8" x 3 7/8"
using an envelope punch board measure to 1 3/4" and punch flip the card measure to 3 7/8" and punch cut away the excess to form a file tab
Place the yardstick with the file tab to the left score at 3 1/2" - 6 1/2"
fold first score line and form a pocket, fold to the second score line to form the folder.
