Well happy Tuesday ladies ....
What an emotional morning my, princess is back to school this morning I do miss her when she's not home. We had such an amazing summer its a shame it has to end. Its a good job I checked the school website as I nearly sent her back a day early ... nightmare.
We had my husbands birthday celebration meal last night at a fab new steak house in Huddersfield last night all the girls were there bar one who is currently holidaying in Portugal with her boyfriend. We always have a fab time when we get together its not often that we are all together at the same time now all the girls are older. Our main topic of conversation was the family cruise my husband booked for next summer we are paying for all the girls and boyfriends to come with us its going to be fantastic. Our thought were that as the girls are grown and have their own lives now it would just be a fab opportunity to have us all together and a fab memory for Lex who is the only one left at home ... Its all about building memories .
I am so in need of restructuring my craft room, stock is taking over and its often really hard to have the room to craft ... arrrghh organisation is just escaping me. Im have considered having a joiner in to build custom shelving but since we expect to move home shortly this seems a bit daft so for now I shall have to manage. I recently saw a property we are going to view with a small brick built annex intended maybe as a guest room or granny flat ...it would be perfect for Scrimpy's we shall see but either way hubby says we shall buy somewhere with room to build one if there isn't an existing suitable out building. I have no intention of ever taking Scrimpy's out of home as I love being there to care for my dogs and obviously Im a full time mum still.
I just want a quick moan here .... I will apologise in advance but its something I feel strongly about and to be honest its time to come clean and out this menace ONCE AND FOR ALL !!! ......................... trees !!! yes they look all pretty and inviting in the summer waving gently in the breeze and yes they give shelter to little creatures and etc etc etc. BUT .... come autumn I really being to dislike them ...I would gladly hack them all down I mean its not like we neeeeeeed trees to live or anything lol lol lol .... its the leaves ...and those really tiny little brown bits ..what even is that stuff .... It litters my drive all autumn until we have bald trees and I really do despair no sooner have I swept than the master mutant trees have spewed another load of unnecessary leaves on the ground .... This is a rant I have at about this time every year so expect the same at this time next year .
Happy crafting until next time .... xxx A
If you are going to be moving soon they won't be a problem next year so sit back and enjoy the autumn, it is my very favourite time of the year when all the trees change colour at least here in NI they do. Your husband must be adorable planning your new craft place and even willing to build one for you. He really is a keeper. I'm sorry you are going to be missing Alexi now she is back at school, the house always seems so quiet and dull when they are not there. Lots of love and hugs Theo.
ReplyDeleteDon't blame the tree honey ... its their leafy coat that cause the problem.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find the home of your dreams keeping Scrimpy's very much within its confines . The weather you have up there certainly shows advantags to working at home . Alexia probably misses you equally as much . She is certainly growing up.
It was lovely reading about the birthday family get together . That is all that counts at the end of the day . Stay well my friend . xxx
Glad you had a lovely family meal to celebrate C's birthday, place sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour family cruise sounds perfect Amanda, the girls must have been thrilled to discover they had been treated !! Be lovely for Alexia too, spending time with her big sisters and their families, making lovely family memories.
I think the battle for space in the craft room is a permanent struggle to be honest, I have spent as many hours reorganising my craft room as I have crafting in it!! Harder for you though with it being your business space too, fingers crossed you end up with a whole annexe to organise your business space and craft area into, exciting times ahead for you Mrs C, I couldn't be more happy for you xxxx

Your daughter is going to be missing you just as much i am sure. It's so exciting having to find a new home, i loved the process my self
ReplyDelete.. but not the packing and moving parts. Lol Hopefully you do...deanne
And welcome to my world of typos!! Lol
ReplyDeleteCan I call you mum and will you adopt me please? I would so love to go on the family cruise and I will even sweep up the pesky leaves and help you with your craft room (probably by bringing it home with me).

ReplyDeleteI just love ya Girly!!! I am excited for fall and here in Texas it takes forever, it will be here in November, I suppose. I hope you have a wonderful week! XOXO~ Kimmy
ReplyDeleteI'm so far behind, I just found your blog now! It sounds like you had a fun, busy summer, and ended it with a bang for your husband's birthday celebration. Good luck with finding your dream home and the upcoming move. I love fall and the leaves changing...just think how many nutrients they add back into the soil when they fall and start to break down. Debbie :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your summer! Next house you buy, make sure there are no big trees lol
