Fun watercolour backgrounds for card making.

I was hugely inspired by a card sent to me yesterday by a lovely lady Judie all the way from Australia. As soon as I opened her card I was inspired and wanted to try re create it. You can see Judie's card on my YouTube tutorial video below. I choose the fantastic Dandelion Wishes from Stampin' Up! for my images.

I love any crafting where I can really get messy and creative. Anything non structured is just up my street. Although this is a very basic technique you almost feel like you added more creativity to your design.

I used Stampin' Up! watercolour paper for the card front. This paper performs well, I absorbs lots of ink and water and holds it without creasing, fudding or tearing. Watercolour paper is essential as lots of water is added to make the inky background mix.

I used my Stamparatus for the first time in a long while and you know after a love hate relationship with it I have told myself I will try use it more. Using the Stamparatus meant I could re ink and re stamp precisely to get a nice dark image over the coloured background.  We finished off with splashes of shimmer paint on the bottom most dark colour to give it a lift.

You can watch the full process of this card on my YouTube I will leave a link below.

Go get inky and have some fun..happy stamping xxx Amanda
