Now lets start by saying ..I am no Picasso ... however, I do love to think I am ! I love to have fun with my crafting and really feel I am putting my own special touch on something .. to create something no one else had done. Watercoloring gives us all the opportunity to create something unique as it is IMPOSSIBLE for two to be the same. We can all have a bit of fun and imagine we are fantastic artists. Indeed the results you get if you take the plunge will surprise you.
Using the Cambridge carols stamp I created my unique little piece of art work and I URGE you to give it a try. Watercoloring is so liberating and really therapeutic . A very basic thing to do anyone can try this .. trust me if I can do it so can you.
And how proud will you feel when you casually tell the recipient ..oh yes I watercolored it myself.
It really is so simple and as Stampin' Up! inks are water based each ink pad can be used just like a mini palette.
As this is a Christmas scene I added a few drops of the First Frost shimmer paint to some watery ink and hey presto ... my frozen river scene has a frosted shimmer to it. The camera fails to pick this all out ... frowned face... but I do have a full step by step tutorial for you to watch and give this a try yourself.
So go grab your supplies and your " artist apron " and enjoy the tutorial. The products I used are all listed below and you can click the photo links to browse my online shop.
Happy stamping xxx Amanda
