Mini star card, tree ornament, no 20 of #100things

How cute is this tiny 2 x 2" start card / hanging ornament. I just love how this turned out and with very minimal supplies too. This tiny hanging ornament opens up into a stunning star shaped ornament which really has the wow factor. yet these are insanely easy to make you could make them with your children.

All you need is 6 pieces of DSP cut to 4 x 4" and two pieces of card stock cut to 1 7/8 x 1 7/8". Along with this you need around 14" of ribbon ... I used 12" and it was only just enough so I recommend using 14", a bead and adhesive of your choice.

I did emboss my sentiment with gold emboss powder but you could use just ink if you so wished My sentiment comes from the first frost set by stampin' up and fits perfect in the small squares used for the front and back.

Using a bead you can close the star shape up and it stays shut, it really is pretty neat. I do have my own step by step tutorial for you to follow and I do hope you will give this idea a try. As always the products I used are listed below should you wish to purchase any the photos link direct to my on line store.

So grab a brew, get comfy and enjoy the video.

Happy stamping xxx Amanda

I first saw this idea done by a lady called Colette Mitegra you can find her version here :-
