A few days back I got to play with the Stampin' Up! mini treat bag thinlits .... just love them. As I was creating the bags my mind was buzzing with ideas one being..hey I could so make a mini album using these !!!! And so I did.
I have never made a cover bound album before and had no tutorial to follow. But hey ... I told myself you have watched Kathy Orta for at least a million hours you got this ! And so I set to work. It really wasn't very difficult at all..... except it was a weekend and my family seemed to strangely need me at least every ten minutes... rolls eyes ... but eventually I got it finished. I created six bags for six pages and bound them together using the bottom flap of the treat bags. Adding them one on top of another to create my book. Then simply measured, cut and covered medium weight chip board for the covers.
I choose to decorate simply rather than over complicate with fancy decor and multi flaps ...then the simplicity shines through so anyone can feel they too can create the project. Hey if I can do it anyone can. I used Memories and more cards from the petal Palette suite to decorate, going for the monotone with a hint of pink look. I love how it turned out and its super sturdy.
I have a step by step YouTube tutorial for you to follow. products used and basic measurements are below. So grab a brew, get comfy and enjoy the video...
Happy stamping xxxx Amanda
