Easy inlay technique card

Wow Im glad to be back sharing projects feels like I have been away forever. I have had a good long rest over Christmas and I am brimming with great ideas for new projects.

As we have our brand new Spring/ Summer catalogue launching tomorrow I thought I would start with a celebration card. Celebrating me getting back to work, a brand new year and our brand new products.

Here I created a special inlay technique inspired slightly by Jennifer Maguire. I used our new Thinlits which are a sale a bration freebie along with Picture perfect party DSP, matching card and stamp set.

I cut the words the celebrate in white and the you in bermuda bay. The white word was then coloured in two shades and double sided tape applied to the back covering the word cut outs. The word is carefully replaced into the cut out adhering it to the double sided tape. Dazzling diamonds glitter was then pressed into the spaces backed with the tape making the spaces become glittered. After the front of the card was stamped the tape backing is removed to reveal a opaque glittered effect in the word spacings. A subtle but pretty technique. The DSP and coloured card is then used in layers to complete the card.

I do have a full step by step Youtube tutorial for you to follow so grab a brew get comfy and watch the video.... Its lovely to be back

Happy stamping xxxx Amanda
