Global design project #GDP083 live, laugh,love...

This weeks GDP theme is sparkles and bling. Now I can't quite believe I came up with such a subtle card..I am normally, when faced with bling, a go big or go home kind of girl, but today I chose a subtle approach.

I used watercolour postcards I had bought in for another project and using Melon mambo, Daffodil delight and Bermuda bay watercolour pencils I scribbled on my card then blended using an Aqua painter. This I then dried with my heat gun.

For sparkle I mixed clear embossing powder with Dazzling diamonds fine glitter. Stamping my Image in Versa mark and then Melon Mambo ink I then added my embossing mixture. The camera unfortunately doesn't pick up the beautiful but subtle sparkle on my sentiment but in the hand it is both glossy and sparkles. My "brings" are more card candy, I used the brights enamel shapes rather than my normal go to of rhinestones. I just felt this was a less is more type of card.

With the fantastic Melon mambo I decided to pair my image with DSP from the Pop of Pink suite and I also used washi tape from the same suite . Thus bringing out the Melon mambo as the focus colour but not being over bearing. I layered my Image onto a thick Whisper white card base and my card was complete. It is a fast and easy card to do easy for anyone to have a try . Making your own back grounds with the watercolour pencils is awesome fun and you will always have an original card every time. Hope you enjoyed my project and hope you give it a go...
