Heeeeeeres Egbert... OMG I had such fun making this card how funny is the Hey Chick stamp set !. This one one of the Sale a bration FREEBIES and only 17 more days to get hold of them so hurry >>
I rarely use bright colours but I do think I have turned over a new leaf. The brights family is so funky the colours are amazing. In Stampin' Up they have four colour families..Brights..Regals...Subtles.. and Neutrals and then we have our In colours which change every few years. The idea is that any colours within the same family will co ordinate nicely ...you can pair non family colours but Stampin' Up! have tried to take the guess work out that many crafters struggle with.
So I used daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Whisper white. Created a fun back ground with the help of little Egbert and then created a multi layer effect which happened to look a little like egg ! How cool. I stamped with memento back and coloured my images with Stampin' Up! watercolour pencils. Lovely effects here because the pencils are soft and easily blended.
So I created a card for no particular occasion it is just a thank you and going out to a special friend ...I hope it makes her smile.
