I used the remarkable you stamp set ...I have a thing for Lillies, my shabby chic lace ladies all know why ...maybe you don't ? ok I will tell you ... groans from the lace ladies ... I had giant Calla Lillies at my wedding in Las Vegas. I have mentioned it on more than one occasion so those who have followed me years know this already ...sorry ladies.
I wanted this card to be special yet had no idea what the plan was I just set about and what happened ..kinda happened. I do like the elegant look of the card I failed the Stampin' Up! simplicity code but hey I'm a little different. I used Smokey slate card and ink for the lillies and Wild wasabi for the leaves. Images were stamped then had cut I used small sharp embroidery scissors for this I just find it easier. I gave extra attention to the leaves and lillies using watercolour pencils and a blender pen. The edges of the lillies then gently hand painted ...with the tiniest brush ever ...I was getting my hair off by this point... but I painted Stampin' Up! silver glitter glue around the edges. The effect was worth the stress !! The flowers and leaves were pulled into a bouquet using a doily and mounted on a simple tag embossed in the lace doily embossing folder. Phew what else did I do ?.. Oh yes I used the stunning silver satin ribbon which I LOVE. The finished card is 6 1/2" by 4" so quite tall but I'm really pleased with the results. Sorry no video tutorial ... this card took me at least ten years to make ... no joke. But if you want something special the time is so worth it. Hope you like it comments welcome.
