Happy Mondays ladies and any Gents

Well today is my coffee and a card series and I was feeling flirrrrty so used my new favourite for today which is the Flirty Flamingo colour from Stampin' Up! Such a bright cheerful, stunning colour to cheer up any Autumn day.

I chose a very classic card design. Not new as such but new to me I saw it on Pinterest, and so thought I would share it with you.

I'm sure you can agree its a stunning colour to choose creating a lovely crisp looking card. So without further ado here are the measurements :-

Taking a sheet of 12x12 DSP in Flirty Flamingo from the new In colour range cut a piece 12" x 5 1/2"
this then needs to be scored on the long side at 2"-4"-8" and 10". Fold and burnish all these score lines. Then using a pencil mark on the short side the central point ...so place a mark at 2 3/4". Do this on both sides. Then line up from the top of the second score line and out wards in a downward slant to the pencil mark at the half way point. Using your method of choice cut along this slant , this will leave you the sloped edge and a triangular off cut . Do the same to each side retaining the off cuts. Then with the triangular off cuts flip around to the other side showing the co-ordinating pattern and attach to the bottom of your two filing flaps with the wides part facing the inner of the card and the point to the peter point of each edge .

Next cut a piece of card stock in Flirty Famingo at 3 1/2" x 5" and a piece in Whisper White at
3" x 4 1/2". Layer these to mats together and adhere to the inner part of your card. Then decorate as desired. I stamped a small floral butterfly from the Papillion Potpourri set using Flirty flaming ink. I then stamped a sentiment taken from the Designer tin of cards set using the same ink and punched out the sentiment with the Decorative labels punch. To add a pop I punched out a second label shape in Flirty flamingo yardstick and layered them at an angle. I then stamped another butterfly and punched this one out using the co-ordinating Bitty butterfly punch. The wings were bent in and curved to create dimension . The sentiment and butterfly were then attached using dimensionals and glue dots. A fine touch of sparkle was added to both the sentiment and the butterfly . I hope you enjoyed this card I sure did.
