Scrimpy tip stamp and scrub hack ....

Todays post and video is a little different. Im a big believer in being careful how you spend your money. I was brought up with a very strong work ethic and have provided an income for myself since the ace of 16 often working more than one job to help support my family as they grew and then later to pay my way through university. Now I'm older I'm fortunate that I have a little extra money than when I was younger but I still can't help but hunt for bargains or ways to spend wisely. Scrimping is an art some take very serious, Im not a die hard scrimper but if I can find a way to save in one area so I can spend that same money better ..I will.

Craft tools are essential but a tad dull...I want to spend all my money on stamps . Therefore I found a scrimpy way to get myself a spare stamp and scrub sty stamp cleaning tool. I must emphasise this is not instead of my beautiful Stampin' Up! stamp and scrub...its as well as ... so I have a spare which is budget friendly.

So here we have it i found these paint pads at my local Range the surface is velvety and soft similar to the stamp and scrub and so i thought I would give them a try.

The photo shows the size of the pads . They are soft and velvety on the top with a sponge layer beneath and then a plastic bottom. As you can see from my till receipt they were a great buy.

Yes yes ok I had a Snickers while I was there BUT the pepsi max is calorie free so we all know that cancels out the chocolate right ?.. Joking apart this is a great " life hack" as my daughter calls it . They are washable and reusable too so a totally awesome way to get yourself a spare stamp cleaning tool. One idea for storage as suggested by my lovely friend Karen McClure is to use one of the large clear stamp cases you can buy from stampin up..... Check out my video demonstrating how it works ...grab a brew get comfy and take a look click the link below ........... happy stamping xx Amanda

    2. I noticed those, too! I'm in the USA, so I appreciate both the snickers and pepsi as well as learning what "scrimpy" means!
Always wondered where you got your name from....had no idea what it referred to! :-)
