So I was challenged to do Gothic style !!!!!

Happy Monday everyone I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I spent much of mine battling the jungle formaly known as my front garden .... Much rather be crafting.

Todays card is something totally different and has come about from a bit of a challenge set me by a friend. I have been friends via the crafty community with Lisa Bragg Leavitt for a number of years. I believe I met her through an old old old swap group called the craft hole. Now, Lisa has a very different style to me and we often tease each other about it. She is a very interesting lady and likes the darker side of things as it were, where as I am shabby chic pink and girly. So, she stated that today is world Goth day. Now she may have been pulling my leg about that I really should google it ...but she challenged me to come up with a Gothic style card using Stampin' Up! products. Well Im not one to shy away from a direct challenge so here we are.

I used Rich razzleberry card embossed in silver using a stamp from the Blooming love set. I overlaid this with black card torn down the middle and pulled to the side ...my inspiration being a corset type of idea. I then decorated using the Botanical builder dies to create floral and leaf cluster. I added a touch of sparkle with basic rhinestones adding a pretty touch, but also breaking up the black colour somewhat.

I think I carried it off and Im rather pleased with myself ... maybe I should challenge Lisa to make a girly pink floral card with bunting attached ??.. what do you reckon ... always up for a challenge.

I did film the making of this card which is totally un edited and totally off the cuff so rather long but worth a watch so get comfy get a brew and take a look .... hope you enjoy this project as much as I did making it and hope you may try it yourself one day should you ever ned a Gothic style card ...you never know !!!

                                                     Happy stamping, hugs xxxx Amanda
