Todays tutorial is for a really quick and easy mini box which holds four to six cute mini notecards. This idea is great as a teacher appreciation gift, craft fetes, hostess gifts and swaps there really are countless reason to make, and uses for this cute design.
Today I chose to use all the new in colours as part of my seven day back to back series .... but you can change it up and use whatever paper you have, just ensure the note cards match the box for a better finish and a well co-ordinated look. The process is so simple once you do one you can make an
endless supply.
I used the new Label me pretty stamp and punch bundle...I love matching sets it just makes creating so much easier and quicker as all the guess work just disappears. I used small amounts of the new in colour dsp and matching card stock... these all match the inks perfectly and is one of the unique selling points of Stampin' Up! all their dyes match again taking the guess work and the stress away.
All my measurements are listed below and there is a step by step youtube tutorial for you to follow.
Get your creative juices flowing and run up a batch of these in no time at all. I hope you have fun ...
happy stamping... hugs x Amanda
measurements:-
Cut card for box at :- 6 x 6"
using the envelope punch board measure up to 2" then lunch and score, then up to 3" punch and score..there after match the pointer up to the following score lines punch and score each time. Then cut the side flaps and form a box. Full details are on my video tutorial.
Belly band:- cut card at 7 3/4 x 2" adhere a strip of dsp to the card strip , The dsp should measure 7 7/8 x 3/4". Score the whole thing at 1 3/4", 2 1/2", 4 3/4" and 5 1/2" burnish and film a band one flap
will be longer than the other ..The longer flap want to be at the top.
Note cards:- cut card at 7 x 2" score at 3 1/2" fold to make card.
dsp or card stock layer:- cut at 1 3/4 x 3 1/2"
For envelopes using the envelope punch board you need 5 x 5" paper measure and score using 2" mark but please note the type of paper used may make this size too large for the box ..if so simply add 1/4" onto the width of the box measurement xx
How did you figure the measurements for the box? Is there a way to figure them for a bigger box?
