Beautiful gift card holder

So have you ever gotten a gift card for someone and thought hmmm that's not very pretty? Well I did, this gift card here is for the cinema and its a tad ugly ..sorry to whomever designed it. Now we could just put it in a plain envelope right? ... WRONG why not create something beautiful to hold your gift making it even more of a gift because you added that extra thought.

So here is my idea to hold a standard gift card. You could change up this idea to just holding a pretty birthday card or a beautifully crafted tag. You can get beautiful result very easily and quickly.

here I created a pouch from Whisper white card and embossed it which immediately makes the holder pretty. I added a flower cluster created from the Botanical builder thinlits from Stampin' Up and co ordinated my colours with the new Daisy delight DSP. I used Pool party and daffodil delight in my flowers which are colours also in the DSP. This is one main feature of Stampin' Up! the colours in the DSP are all listed in the catalogue and so you can easily match with co-ordinating inks, card stock, ribbons , embellishments ...everything is made to match the daffodil delight shade is the same through out so you will never struggle to match up your colours. This just takes all the guess work out of crafting the work has been done for you.

I created a simple card using the daisy DSP which I then attached my gift card to with circles folded in half from a 1" circle punch.  Simply rounding the corners and adding a ribbon to the top completed the look in no time at all. Lightly inking with a sponge all around the edges helped blend in the stark white of the card and pull together the colours. Real easy any level of crafter can re create this project.

All measurements are below and there is also a full step by step video tutorial to help you so grab a brew sit comfy and click the link .... happy stamping xx Amanda
