Todays card was created for a few reasons. I am kind of killing about six birds with one stone here. Firstly, to enter a challenge over at cotswoldcrafter where we were challenged to use our score boards to make a pattern. Secondly, for my anything goes card on Scrimpy's stampin forum and thirdly to make a card without using DSP and to create it just with one stamp set. I managed to do this by using Awesomely artistic. This is a fantastic set and is here for another 12 months which i am super happy about. The main floral stamp can be coloured by hand or embossed, or just left plain. So many different ways to use this stamp and I have had more than my money worth from it I can tell you.
So my stamp layer is 5 x 5" I scored it half way on the diagonal and created a pattern by scoring every half inch, then turning and repeating. This is shown in full in the youtube video below. I used the stamp set to create a butterfly and splatter back ground using Smokey slate which was stamped off to make it lighter. The sentiment was stamped in the same in and coloured with the fantastic water colour pencils which are a pure joy to use. I cut the sentiment with layering ovals ...ALSO with us for another 12 months yipeeeeee. The egg was lightly inked in Sweet sugar plum using my new finger daubers... just had to use them they are fab !! and great for more precise detailed work.
I simply layered my stamped layer onto Sweet sugarplum card and then mounted that onto a whisper white card base. Measurements are below. I created a small sentiment banner I am using the same stamp set and scraps of card . I used a 1/2 inch circle punch to " nip" off the corners to give an inverted corner. That is literally all there is to it ... I love simple cards why make life hard and do over
