Well the weeks are flying by on my design team spot for Pootles Papercraft we are on week two already. My project this week is again using the Live love grow stamp set. I went for a mixed media grungy look this week to try show a totally different style for the set as I will each week. The colours used were garden green, pear pizzas, crumb cake and Sahara sand. I also used the Awesomely Artistic stamp set to add extra effect to this card. After I laid out my stampin by layering the colours I lightly sprayed the card with water using the stampin up mini sprayers. This gave a soft look and also encouraged the water based inks to bleed out giving a grungy effect. I hand tore and inked the edges on each layer of card stock and added a strip of burlap material behind the card front, leaving the edges to fray. I also added wink of stellar to the dragonfly wings and an acrylic dome cabochon to the circular stamp on the bottom left. I stamped out the wording and then cut them into individual words. The edges were inked in crumb cake and they were added to the card with dimensional. As a final touch I added a 3d gloss to each word and bronze Inka Gold rubbing wax around the corners

In all a very different style of card for me. But I think the effect pulls together nicely. I did pick fresh herbs from my garden for the photograph so while looking imagine the fresh scent of basil and ...other herbs whose name I totally forget but they smell and taste divine ! .... Again I had great fun creating this card trying to think of a totally different style and having not " borrowed" the idea from pinterest ..result !
