Vintage watercolored " Floral Sentiments" by Stampin' Up!

The very second I saw these two stamps at the Amsterdam Stampin' Up! event in April I fell in love. These stamps are perfect for a stunning shabby vintage feel... my favourite kind of style. Floral phrases is a superb stamp set with two large statement stamps which will add a huge wow factor to any project or card. Te background stamp named Sheet music is a perfect background for this sam and I shall use int with many others also.

I am having a watercoloring phase at the moment I just can seem to leave my Aqua painters alone. Such a simple technique with fantastically satisfyingly beautiful results. This is set to make any level of card maker feel proud of their work without a doubt.

I used Sahara sand for the sheet music stamp and using ink daubers made the edges and corners appear aged. basic black was then used for the main image. As i used water colour paper I had to ensure there was lots of ink on the stamp , but it is designed to give a mottled, aged, faded type look. I simply coloured over the letters with fresh fig and my aqua painter then moved onto Sweet sugar plumb and old plosive for the flowers.

A superb look you can easily replicate by following my full step by step Youtube tutorial. Just click the link below. All items shown can be bought from my web shop and the link is to the left of the blog page or you can click this link :-http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/scrimpingmommy/
